For the past few months when I walk my Dog Juanga I get stopped by tourists in the morning who want to pet him.
I am lucky enough to be living on the beach for the past few years. This allows me direct contact with tourists.
Many of them miss their pets but a good amount of them are already bringing their pets along on vacation.
For some time I wanted to capture the stories of the many Beach Dogs we have here on the beach. Some who are tourists many more that are our furry and very well cared for four legged residents.
Why Now?
The perfect moment to launch this photography project is right now. At the moment the municipality of Carolina updated its local laws and decided to increase the fine for someone who decides to bring their dog on the beach.
For many like me the beach is our front yard and our dogs live in apartments with us. The lack of parks and poor development of Isla Verde gives residents very few options when it comes to walking their dogs in safe áreas.
Keeping Isla Verde Dog (Pet) Friendly
Hopefully this effort will help create my photography project on the Dogs of Isla Verde and keep Isla Verde beach a dog friendly environment for dogs and their responsible owners.
